Overview on Processing Indexes

After creating the connectors, the data from the repository needs to be loaded, this is called ingest. Ingest process need to be started to crawl and index for the first time.

Note: You just have to ingest once only for an index. Do not ingest more than once because any subsequence ingest will create duplicate index. If the administrator needs to re-index due to corrupted or duplicate index, refer to the topic

When data need to be updated, the administrator can sync the index.

How to Process Indexes

The ingest, sync and post-processing processes can be managed in the Connector Details page. You can start, stop and see the statuses of the processes.

In order to ensure that content is syncing properly, you can manually Sync or setup Auto-Sync in the Connector Details page.
