What Search administration features are available to the Web Administrator?
The following modules are available through the web administrative user interface.
Connector and Index management - Search configuration, Content repositories connectors configuration, Index process and Synchronization Process
Ontology management - Manage the ontologies used in Search
User Management - Manage users for the system
What is the Connector configuration fields for FileShare, SharePoint and Web?
FileShare Connectors
Configuration Field | Description |
Local working path | Folder to ingest |
Delete after index | Delete document after indexing. If set to true, then the documents will be deleted instead of moved to the ALL folder. This is typically used when you replace path prefix to point to another file server (where the file originated from), instead of serving the file from IIS. |
Search index to ingest | Search index to ingest content |

User Domain | SharePoint user domain |
Username | SharePoint user log in name |
Password | SharePoint user password |
Number of files to ingest | Limit content to ingest. 0 = all files |
Domain | Domain name of server |
Site | Specific Site. Default: blank (all sites) |
SharePoint App | Specific App. Default blank (all sites) |
Search index to ingest | Search index to ingest content |
Item type | Type of content: Document, App, Staff Directory |
De-duplication Size Range | Kilobytes size range for deduplication (only for Portia) |
Web Connectors
Configuration Field | Description |
Number of days to get changes from | The number of dats to look back for changes in VLDB. -1 = from all time |
Domain | The domain where the current VLDB is located |
Recent changes site | The endpoint inside the current VLDB domain that contains the list of recent changes |
